This case study shows how Clustor, as a Parallel Parametric Modelling Engine (PPME), makes simulation task to solve a combinatorial problem which involves a single program running a large number of scenarios (in the order of 500 jobs), almost painless. The major advantage of Clustor compared to a single machine is not just in the obvious substantial time saving in the completion of a set of simulations (the best case scenario is 1/n the time a single machine takes to finish n jobs). With Clustor's ability to generate a complete set of scenarios at run time based on the set of parameters and command lines specified in the plan script, the inherent tedious task of managing the simulation activities when running simulations on a single machine is completely eliminated.
