The Clustor plan file sim.pln sets a number of parameters for the OPNET simulations. In addition to those described previously there is a seed value which defaults to zero.

The node:execute line runs the OPNET simulation. The rest of task main copies the output files generated by OPNET to the root node. Task rootfinish simply concatenates the output files. The resulting output files were then used to generate four graphs (using GNUplot) that describe the results of the simulation. The input parameters took these values:

• Group Value - 0.7 0.5 0.2
• Connectivity - 0.9
• Seed Value - 0
• MTTF (Active time) - 200 500 ... 2600 2900

Each OPNET simulation took approximately 30 minutes to complete. The Clustor Generator produced 30 jobs. The time to completion would have been about 15 hours on a single machine. However Clustor dispatched these jobs over two SPARC stations and took just over seven hours.

• Timing results for the jobs that were run are returned by Clustor in the log file.
