CSE3322 Programming Languages and Implementation
Semester 2, 2004
Assessment
CSE3322 is assessed in two parts:
- Final exam (70%)
- Assignments (30%)
Exam
The final exam is worth 70% of your
final mark. It will be a closed book exam which will last for 3
hours. It will be held in the end-of-semester exam period
(October/November). The examination will test whether you have
met the objectives listed at the start of each of the Study
Guides.
Practical work
You will also be assessed through 4 assignments (30% weighting)
Assignment 1, Value 5%,
Due 12 noon Monday 9th August, (Basic ML Programming)
Assignment 2, Value 10%,
Due 12 noon Monday 30th August, (Advanced ML Programming)
Assignment 3, Value 10%,
Due 12 noon Friday 8th October, (Writing a compiler for a small
language).
Assignment 4, Value 5%,
Due 12 noon Friday 22nd October, (LR parsing).
Assignments should be received on or before the due
date and time. Late submissions will be penalised at the rate of
5% per day penalty rate. They will not be accepted more than one week after the due date. If you believe that
your assignment will be delayed because of circumstances
beyond your control such as illness you should apply for
an extension before the due date. Medical
certificates or certification supporting your
application may be required.
