Searching in Rumour

When a user wants to search the Web using Rumour, he or she can load the search form from a browser by opening the URL:http://the.server.name/Rumour/. An example of the search form is shown below :

Once filled in, and initiated, the search form will start the search program with the input, and return the results to the browser. For example, if the user wants to search for "star wars" (being at http://www.cs.monash.edu.au/), he or she can fill in the form, and initiate the search. The result of the search is shown on the next page.

The top of the result screen shows documents that contain "star wars" from the www.cs.monash.edu.au server, and the lower part of the result screen shows other servers with "star wars" mentioned. So the user can directly go to the local documents that contains star wars, or they can initiate a search on another server, and a similar result screen will be returned.

If there are no "star wars" results in either the Lindex or the ReferList, the search program will return the top 5 servers with the most keywords.

The servers with the most keywords will be returned, and the user can search through the ReferList at the given servers.
