Subject: it is time to finish this thesis

have read it. yet again i must implore you to attend to all the details,
work breadth-first, instead of focusing on small bits. get the big picture
right. finish finish finish.

the draft you sent me has numerous glaring problems which i think should
be GONE by now:

++	front page says this is a phd thesis. you wish.
**	your list of figures on page vi should be shortenned. \caption
	supports an optinal argument that lets you specify a short text string
	for the list of tables
++	why are figures 51 to 5.4 named either "??" or ""?
**	page ix, you're a phd student again and you ahve no abstract
**	page xi, no acknowledgements
++	table 4.1. spills off the RHS of the page
++	table 5.1. spills off the RHS of the page
**	table 5.2. spills off the RHS of the page
**	table 5.3. spills off the RHS of the page
**	table 5.4. spills off the RHS of the page
**	table 5.5. spills off the RHS of the page
**	section 4.5.1: have you defined a forward sweep before this section>
++	figure 4.3 has raw latex in it. why?
++	figure 4.9 is unreadable (too small)
++	figure 5.2 is unreadable (too small)

conceptual issues:

++	move 2.1.2 to 4.1.1. would make more sense there. can't present
	this table without first defining  "W", T,D, etc.
??	page 9 what is W_1 at the end of section 2.1.1. yes, i know what it
	is but does your reader?
++	section 2.2.1 does not strongly connect with the rest of the
	thesis.
**	conclusion is that we have changed the effecienency but have yet to
	address the exponential time complexity issue. this is not strong
	enough in the current conclusion

now, 
**	DONT SEND ME ANOTHER DRAFT. the thesis is over.
**	if you have latex problems, ask dean.
**	fix the above. shouldn't take you more than a day.
**	all i want to see from you now is the
	abstract and the next version of the conclusion. which you
	can email me as text.
