Body Usage

The body usage statistics measure the average amount of its pFSA brain that each agent uses. This is calculated from a cumulative histogram of the usage of each of the states in the pFSA body, sorted from most used to least used. This type of histogram is known as a Pareto diagram.

For example, if the statistic for 100% usage returns 70% for a particular agent, this means that 30% of its body never got used during its lifetime. If the statistic for 50% usage returned 30%, this means that half the time the agent was only using 30% of its brain.

A possible emotional interpretation of this is that if the average usage of the brain goes down, this could mean that the extra state usage was deliberation, and the presence of predators caused the agents to perform less deliberation, and hence behave more emotionally.
