About
About this web siteThis website was developed as part of the CSE417 "Communications and research skills". It presents my honours research and findings, as found in my thesis. This site has been updated since thesis submission and is the most uptodate source of information on the project. About the project"Investigating the use of Software Engineering in Computer Science Research" examines the weaknesses in the approach to the development of software supporting Computer Science research. That is software that is developed to implement a new algorithm, try a new idea, investigate and evaluate algorithms etc. The potential to use some adapted form of Software Engineering to meet the needs of this research community, as well as the drawbacks, are examined. For further detail see the: About the AuthorAndre Oboler graduated from Monash University (Australia) with a Bachelor of Computer Science in October 2002 and with a first class Honours Degree in Computer Science in May 2003.
