Running the Simulator => Configure TCP Settings

Configure TCP Settings

Configuring the TCP settings for the simulator involves 3 steps.
  1. Setup TCP Modules - Select the flow control algorithms to be loaded into the simulator.
  2. Setup Base Tahoe Variables - Set up the TCP variables common to all TCP variants. This step is optional; default settings are used if this step is not performed.
  3. Selecting TCP Module Variables to View During simulation - Select variables specific to a loaded flow control algorithm to view/edit (via the "Variables" tab of a host's Tab Panel) during the simulation. This step is optional; no variables are selected if this step is not performed.
Once TCP settings are configured, the next step is to configure the TCP simulator's traffic generators.

Note that the above only provides a brief description on how to setup the TCP settings. For a complete guide, please refer to Section 2 for Appendix 3 in the thesis.
