Running the Simulator => Viewing/Interacting with the simulation => Tab Panel => Avg. Delay/Loss Tab

Avg. Delay/Loss Tab

Avg. Delay/Loss Tab in Tab Panel Screenshot

This tab shows a strip graph displaying the average of all delay/loss conditions experienced by segments sent by this host. The different parts of the graph are described below.

  • Red Graph Line-Displays the average delay recently experienced by segments sent by this host.
  • Blue Graph Line-Displays the average loss rate recently experienced by segments sent by this host.
  • Mean Delay now:-Denotes the current average delay experienced by all segments sent by this host so far.
  • Mean Loss now:-Denotes the current average loss rate experienced by all segments sent by this host so far.
  • ECN Detected:-Denotes whether ECN support is off (Off) or on. If ECN support is on and congestion is present (and segments have a chance of being marked with a CE codepoint), then the "Yes" is displayed. Otherwise "No" is shown.
  • Edit Delay Button-Brings up the delay generator configuration panel that allows users to change the settings for the delay generator being used to generate propagation delays for this link.
  • Edit Loss Button-Brings up the loss generator configuration panel that allows users to change the settings for the loss generator being used to generate loss values for this link.
