Suburban Ad-Hoc Networks
Suburban Ad-Hoc Networks (SAHNs) are economical, high-speed alternatives for communities of
cooperating users.
They are networks that provide alternative connectivity options
for households, neighbourhoods, small businesses and campuses. They are typically (but not necessarily)
wireless networks that perform multi-hop routing through a quasi-static environment, providing
automatic route selection based on the available links through neighbours.
Emphasis is placed on security, robustness, and Quality of Service (QoS).
The objective of this honours project is to create a working implementation under the
Linux operating system, based on work done in previous years by others.
- Introduction gives a brief introduction to
ad hoc networking, and the Monash SAHN.
- Outcomes discusses the outcomes of the project.
- Materials gives access to all project materials,
such as presentations and intermediate documents.
