This bibliography excludes research articles about SQL; some of them can be found in the separate companion bibliographies for journals and conferences that specialize in database systems (pods.bib, tods.bib, and vldb.bib). It also excludes books about database systems that do not emphasize SQL.

This bibliography has been constructed primarily with data from the University of California MELVYL catalog, the U.S. Library of Congress catalog, various European library catalogs accessed through the Karlsruhe Virtual Catalog, and the TeX User Group and Karlsruhe Computer Science bibliography archives.
