Expertise and research interests
Wireless broadband communications, particularly multicarrier and multi-input multi-output systems, coding and modulations,equalization techniques, channel modeling, digital signal processing for communication, and network design and traffic modeling.
Background
K. Sathananthan (Satha) received his B. Sc. Eng degree with first class honours from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka, in 1996 and MEng. degree in telecommunication from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand in 1999. He completed his PhD in Computer Science at Monash University, Australia in 2003. He is currently with the Faculty of Information Technology, Monash University, Australia, as a Lecturer. He is currently working on peak-to-average power ratio reduction and interference suppression schemes for OFDM and MIMO systems.
