About the Australian Universities Chairs of Academic Boards/Senates

The Chairs of Academic Boards/Senates is an informal gathering of presidents/chairs, vice presidents/deputy chairs of the groups variously titled Academic Boards, Academic Councils, (Academic) Senates of Australian Universities. The group meets annually at different sites around Australia.

At the meeting at The University of South Australia in October 2006, the group decided to set up a small executive committee to guide the future activities of the group. The interim Convenor of the group is Ruth Foxwell, University of Canberra. Ruth has since stood down, and the group is now led ad hoc by the annual meeting planning group led by Michael Borowitzka, Murdoch University.
