As soon as the train has passed, they will jump into their cars and hurtle off to the next vantage point. Silly, really. But they probably get much fancier photographs than this one. Taken at Wallan, north of Melbourne (from a moving train, I might add!).

  • Description : If I had tried to take this picture, I would never have timed it to such perfection. Leaning out the window, juggling a slave flash, wobbling about at 80kph, I managed to capture 3801 as it storms through the exit of Broadford loop, climbing towards Heathcote Junction. A speed sign complements the picture, and adds its illuminatory message to the scene.
