there are a couple of other conferences that you will want to consider.
Of course, there is
VL'97
under the auspices of which TVL'97 will be held.
If you are interested in graph drawing, GD '97 is held in Rome from Spetember 18-20.
But there is also ICIAP'97, the International Conference on Image
Analysis and Processing, and
QR'97, the Workshop on
Qualitative Reasoning.
