CHRONONAUTS
The first was a fairly quick game, where I won by matching my ID, thanks
to
Craig patching the right year.
The second game went on for much longer. In fact the discard pile had to
be
reshuffled, much to Craig and my annoyance as we had just drawn a rewind
card!
I would have won this fairly warly on if 1962 had been patched and WWIII
broke out (I have yet to see this happen in a game). I knew the patch
was
out there, as I'd had it originally before a hand reshuffle occurred.
Craig
refused to play it! Later he looked through the draw pile for a patch
which
would win him the game, but it turned out I had it in my hand. In the
end
Craig rescued the required artifact to complete his mission from the
discard
pile, immediately before Andrew would have completed another patch to
record
a 10 card hand victory.
THE SETTLERS OF CATAN
Using a random set up, with the numbers distributed in order. I got off
to a
good start with 3 city upgrades before Craig or Andrew managed one, and
stayed ahead despite being trade embargoed and making do with 4 for 1
trades
as I didn't have a port. Andrew taking the Longest Road off me gave him
the
lead for a while, but in the end production won out.
Alan 12 (3C, 3S, LA, 1 VP)
Andrew 10 (3C, 2S, LR)
Craig 9 (3C, 3S)
OLE
Two quick hands of this card game. Andrew was the only one who managed
to
score 0 points on a hand, and he won the second game.
Game 1:
Alan 5 + 10 + 22 = 37
Craig 12 + 25 + 16 = 53
Andrew 13 + 22 + 25 = 60
Game 2:
Alan 3 + 10 + 27 = 40
Craig 12 + 12 + 8 = 32
Andrew 0 + 16 + 9 = 25
