Maybe I'm Dead?
By Debbie Pickett
To the tune of "The Lady in Red" by Chris de Burgh.
This one sort of wrote itself after I decided on a title.
I've never seen the world so silent as I do tonight
I've never seen a stranger sight
It's so unsettling
I've never felt so strong an absence of a feeling of sense
And when I used to be so tense
There are no events
I have never been so hard of hearing
Never been so unaware of hows and whys
I am so blind
Maybe I'm dead?
It's always the same
week to week
There's nobody here
I can't even see
I only wanna be free
I only know
That everything's so slow
How I regret
The way I feel tonight
How I regret
The way I feel tonight
Maybe I'm dead?
Maybe I'm dead?
