Submissions to JMdict/EDICT - Directory Guide
The Submissions system has been replaced by the new online database.
See the README file.
What you see in this directory/folder really depends on your browser.
The files are:
-
google_search.html
This enables a Google search over the contents of the directory. It is
up to a week behind, as Google only scans the directory about once a
week.
-
Folders containing
the daily summaries of amendment/new entry submissions, in
date order. The newest will usually be at the bottom. The files are
called subsyyyy-mm-dd.html
In addition, there is a file called
list_of_words.html
This is a sorted list of all the headwords in the submissions, with
links to where they are mentioned. It is regenerated daily as new
submissions arrive.
The folders are:
-
today.html
Progessive submissions for this day.
-
Where-I-am-up-to.txt Sometimes I am delayed to checking things,
so I record the details of where I am working here.
Other useful directories and files
-
new
entries which are waiting to be added to the JMdict/EDICt file.
These are added each day to the EDICT version used by WWWJDIC. The last
few in the file may not be checked.
-
Folder of daily
changes to the EDICT version used by WWWJDIC. This can be useful for
tracking changes.
