Comment | A plea for the novice.
"基いて" throws up millions of Google hits, but when one tries to find the complete reading for making a search, it is not so easy. The answer to that problem lies in your classification "(io)" If one looks up the kanji in a general dictionary one does not find 基く because it is not regular. If one tries to search for it in a variety of ways one gets nowhere. By chance, I spotted the desired result on your site; suddenly, all becomes clear. My plea is this: can you enable a search from "基いて" to be linked to the main entry above? For example, in the same way that you do for "いければ (etc.) See: 生ける" and like entries. |

Editorial Comment | Those special xrefs only work for kana-only forms, so I have added 基いて as a special-case entry. |

Editorial Comment | Corss refs need a target within the dictionary. I have added one for 血液中. 血中 seems to be both a noun and a prenominal, so I have expanded it a bit. |

English 2 | {comp} equivalent to (the command) "apply" |
Comment | The expression 反映 is used with routers and other configurable devices to
mean "apply" (in the sense of "write/commit to memory", "implement", "save configuration", etc.). The equivalent term in German is "übernehmen" (if umlaut does not come through: uebernehmen). Now the problem, in the context of this database, is that although 反映 is considered a noun, it cannot be translated as such: "application" or "appliance" (noun forms derived from "apply") are already preempted, and the possible gerund "(the) applying" is to my knowledge not in use / not understood. Thus the above point 3 - if you have a more elegant solution, 反映させてください. ;-) |

meaning cherries imported from America. According to the Wikipedia article above, these are not necessarily only one type of cherry. |
