Headword 1 | 浪漫思想 |
Reading 1 | ろうまんしそう |
Part-of-speech | n |
English 1 | romantic thought |
English 2 | philosophy of romance |
Reference | See below. |
Comment | The individual headwords are included on the site. The meaning can be assessed, but it does not come up in my references as a complete combination. Your site could help the novice move into greater certainty on this submission in the same way as it does elsewhere, for example:-
浪漫主義 【ろまんしゅぎ; ろうまんしゅぎ】 (n) romanticism 科学思想 【かがくしそう】 (n) scientific thought 過激思想 【かげきしそう】 (n) extremism; radical belief 啓蒙思想 【けいもうしそう】 (n) the philosophy of the European Enlightenment 神仙思想 【しんせんしそう】 (n) Shenxian thought (ancient Chinese folk belief in the existence of mountain wizards) 政治思想 【せいじしそう】 (n) political thought; political philosophy; political idea; idea about politics |

Headword 1 | 粨 |
Reading 1 | ヘクトメートル |
Part-of-speech | n |
Comment | Currently this character, which means "hectometre" or "hundred meters", appears in the multi-radical kanji lookup results for the "page" radical (頁). That seems incorrect, as the right half of the character is "hundred" (百), not "page". |

Current Entry | 河谷 [かこく] /(?) ???/RH/ |
Headword 1 | 河谷 |
Reading 1 | かこく |
Part-of-speech | exp |
English 1 | river valley |
Reference | See below. |
Comment | With some 80k Google hits, this deserves a promotion. It comes up in text which I read. Google images confirm the meaning.
With hardly any [well, hardly any populated, at least,] places in the world devoid of a river in a valley, I am surprised that Google hits do not reach millions; perhaps that is because there is a more common term [which I have not seen in text, save for descriptive text] to which this submission could be linked; in addition to its own entry. If you decide to promote the above headword, then the WII below could perhaps be deleted:- 河谷 【かこく】 (n) river valley; WI1 I understand from the past, that the RW, as below, must be retained:- 河谷 【かこく】 river valley; RW |

Headword 1 | 人類最古 |
Reading 1 | じんるいさいこ |
Part-of-speech | exp |
English 1 | oldest mankind (e.g., evidence of) |
Reference | See below. |
Comment | Inevitably this headword gets a fair measure of Google hits. It appears in titles of articles, etc., and in the text. Perhaps in this particular combination, it is good to include it on the basis that it marks, by description, the beginning of something, i.e., ourselves; even if the actual point of beginning is open to question.
Adding "最古" as a suffix generally could be a problem, but in this case there may be an exception to that notion. Perhaps you will agree to its inclusion.. |

Comment | This get some 50k Google hits. It gets broad coverage in Wikipedia. Perhaps you will consider promotion. The "name" comes up as follows:-
ギルガメシュ (n) Gilgamesh; WI1 However, it does not seem to come up in the enamdict. Maybe, I missed it; if I didn't, maybe it should be included there also. If you decided to promote it, then the following could be deleted:- ギルガメシュ叙事詩 【ギルガメシュじょじし】 Gilgamesh Epos; WI1 |
