Comment | According to all my dictionaries, the principal kanji is "瘦". Hoping that I have not missed the point, I am making this submission.
NB. When I made the submission, it gave a warning that there was a non-Japanese character in a kanji field. I have removed my entry of "瘦せる" and I shall try to re-submit. If it works this time, then I am wondering how "瘦" is classified as a non-Japanese character, when it is the one used in all my dictionaries.

瘦 is a rare JIS212 kanji. None of my dictionaries show it as
the primary kanji for 痩せる. (Because it is in JIS212, it's in an extension
of EUC-JP. Firefox, Safari, etc. handle the full EUC-JP coding, but
Microsoft only partly implemented in in IE, hence your browser's warning.)
I'll add 瘦せる to the temporary JIS212 version and it can be merged
later. (瘦せる gets ~3k Googits compared with 4M for 痩せる.)

Comment | As for the 4th and 5th translations, I am aware that (sl) means (slang), but since there are many types of slang, I think it would be convenient to add further information like "(on a BBS)", or "(2ch slang)", which seems to be a policy of WWWJDIC -that is the case in other entries such as 禿同, 厨房, etc.
