Comment | I think this entry is in error and should be deleted. 複 kanji has the meanings double, multiple, 復 restore (to). 復号化 is the correct word for decoding and it's already in the dictionary. It's an easy mistake, though, since the kanji look like each other a lot.
The kanji in words are also in error: 複号器 【?】 decoder; WI2 ビタビ複号法 【ビタビふくごうほう】 Viterbi decoding (15); ES The word 複号 exists but is quite rare. It means a double sign (a sign that is made by combining two pre-existing signs, such as plusminus). I'll add it next. |
