Monash FCIT AI Consortium
MAIC is a consortium of the Monash Faculty of Computing and
Information Technology established to support cooperative research and
teaching activities pertaining to artificial intelligence.
Charter
MAIC is intended to support the teaching and research activities of
FCIT at Monash University, and especially to promote cooperation and
interaction between AI researchers at Monash. Our main activities are:
the publication of an in-house AI magazine, MAIC Communications;
the MAIC Seminar Series; an annual prize for the best AI
conference/journal paper by a student in the Faculty.
We have a standing invitation to join MAIC for any FCIT
academic and research staff with interests in symbolic AI, inductive
inference, machine learning, Bayesian networks, neural networks,
genetic programming, natural language processing, artificial life,
foundations of AI, intelligent decision support systems, cognitive
science, human-computer interaction and/or any other recognized area
of AI research and teaching.
