The Land Rover 90
is the short wheel-base (SWB) coil-sprung Land Rover,
latterly known as Defender or Defender 90.

- 1984: 90 released.
- 90: Coil-sprung, full-time 4WD,
V8 3.5L 4spd, 4cyl 2.25 5spd;
later 2.5, 2.5D, 2.5TD and TDi, and V8 5spd.
- 90 - refers to the wheelbase, actually 92.9".
- 1985: Santana 5spd gearbox.
